Mount St. Mary's, Quinnipiac capture 2026 Metro Tennis Masters titles

HAMDEN, CT –– Top-seeded women's doubles pair Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower (Quinnipiac) started off day three of the 2026 Metro Tennis Masters Tournament with a fast-paced 6-2 win over Fairfield's Eirini Tsakiri and Margherita Trolese to capture the duo's second straight conference masters title.

The Bobcats' men's doubles team of No. 1 Finn Burridge and Elias Hoxha won the men's title with a 6-2 victory over Siena's Mars Argun and Mateja Stefanovic.

In men's singles, Mount St. Mary's' No. 4 Stefanos Pournaropoulos overcame a first set loss to Quinnipiac's Vishal Prakash to cruise to a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 win in the championship final.

On the women's side, the winning doubles pair split to opposite sides of the court as No. 2 Renton faced No. 4 Flower. Renton captured her second consecutive women's singles masters title, 6-2, 6-3.

All four event champions have earned the Metro's automatic qualifiers to the 2026 ITA Conference Masters Championships in Rome, Georgia, from November 5-8 at the Rome Tennis Center.
