Sam Hodges, Fairfield

Junior Sam Hodges went 1-1 in singles and 2-0 in doubles to open up the spring season for the Stags at the Army Spring Kick-Off. Hodges picked up a win over Martins Abamu of Lubbock Christian and was clipped in a tiebreak by Army's Daniel Zhou. On the doubles courts, he claimed a win with Alex Aguiar over a duo from Army and then teamed with Luca Benaibbouche to earn a victory over a pair from Colgate.
 
 
The 2024 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships will take place on April 20-21 at Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ. The 2024 Championships will be the 12th consecutive time the event is held at Mercer County Park Tennis Center dating back to the 2012 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships. With 11 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is in its 43rd year of competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
