Bobcats To Face Columbia in First Round of NCAA Tournament

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's tennis team will take on Columbia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, May 3 at 1:00 PM.
 
The Bobcats are coming off the first MAAC Tournament title in program history, taking down Fairfield 4-2 in the championship match. This is the fifth conference championship and NCAA berth in program history, having won the NEC four times (2004, 2005, 2006, and 2010).

  • Columbia is eighth ranked team nationally and is coming off an Ivy League Championship this spring after going 20-3 during the season.
  • The Lions defeated Brown 7-0 in the Ivy League Championship to capture their 17th conference championship in program history.
  • This is Columbia's 16th NCAA Tournament appearance.
  • Michael Zheng is the highest ranked player for Columbia at No. 21 nationally.
